Thursday: Drive to Bakersfield

5:00 pm - p/u at Congregation Kol Shofar, Tiburon, CA (eat dinner before, bring snack)

6:00 pm - p/u at Temple Beth Abraham, Oakland

10:00 pm - Overnight stay at synagogue in Bakersfield

 

Friday: Museum of Tolerance, Pico-Robertson, and Beit Teshuvah

8:00 am - Light breakfast

8:15 am - Depart Bakersfield

10:30 am - Visit Museum of Tolerance

1:00 pm - Lunch at Kosher Subway on Pico Blvd.

2:30 pm - Visit/tour Beit Teshuvah (Jewish-run center for substance abuse)

5:00 pm - Dinner/services at Los Angeles synagogue

Overnight: Home stays with local Jewish 7th graders

 

Shabbos: Morning Services, Walking Tour of Pico-Robertson, Jews on TV

9:00 am - Light breakfast/social time outside shul

9:30 am - Shabbos services at Nessah Iranian synagogue with local 7th graders (OR)

9:30 am - Shabbos services at IKAR community synagogue with local 7th graders

12:00 pm - Picnic lunch in Pico-Robertson

1:00 pm - Walking tour of Jewish landmarks in Pico-Robertson

3:30 pm - Return to synagogue for afternoon discussion with Jewish TV star

5:30 pm - Depart for Santa Monica Pier

6:30 pm - Havdallah in front of the ocean sunset at Santa Monica Pier

7:00 pm - Dinner and rides at the Pacific Park at the Pier

10:00 pm - Depart pier; Return to synagogue for sleepover with local students

                        -Optional late Jewish movie in separate room

 

Sunday: Exciting Morning Activity TBD, Driving Home

9:30 am - Breakfast together

10:00 am - Goodbye/thank you circle for local 7th graders

10:30 am - Morning activity TBD

12:30 pm - Lunch at AJU cafeteria

1:30 pm - Visit AJU/Ziegler school

2:15 pm - Drive home

8:30 pm - p/u in Oakland

9:00 pm - p/u in Tiburon
